Paris is always lively and today, the City welcomes the 7th edition of the Mondial du Tatouage. For 3 days, the Grande Halle de la Villette opens its doors to this universe full of creativity. What a beautiful idea that the association of this show and a place dating from 1867 classified to the Historical Monuments!
420 tattoo artists from all over the world are investing in the Grande Halle de la Villette and revealing the extent of their talents. Artists, because they really are, intend to present their ideas and creations, as any art gallery, to the 35,000 visitors expected. Classic, modern, or hybrid, the achievements are incredibly refined and real. We take pleasure in admiring the lines, the colors and the imagination of professionals.
In the program of this Mondial du Tatouage, exhibitions, competitions, concerts, professional material … The visitors can also make an appointment if they wish to see inscribed on their skin their personal project. The competitions are a must of the show. Parades are organized every day, and as genuine moving canvases, human bodies sublimate the works of artists such as Tel Lim or Dr Pepper whose hands are real jewels. For it is quite possible to talk about an art of the tattoo that the General Public and the Media take pleasure in discovering.
Exhibitions and concerts punctuate the fair. In the first category, the SIGNALS installation staged by NONOTAK Studio dresses the ceiling of the Grande Halle with 1000 luminous tubes and redraws our perception of space. KINTARO PUBLISHING puts a little lightness with the KINTARO KITE PROJECT. The concept? Japanese kites decorated by tattoo artists fly over the show … Finally, FENDER presents guitars of the brand painted by eight tattoo artists.
Concerning the concerts, we note the presence of Madball tonight or the one of Carpenter Brut, a retro new wave group which, before the Cigale and the Olympia, will be int the Grande Halle Saturday night. The full program of the event is available on the Official Website.
